Daitari Institute of Technology celebrated Dashara (Durga Puja) with all DITIANs at Peacock Heaven Near By Dhanei River Jakara Sankha a very beautiful Scenic Spot with Natural Beauty and Peacocks. We all DITIANs started our journey to the Picnic Sport around 11 am with all the necessary assets in our bicycle such as rice, vegetable, utensils, water bottle, cricket kit, badminton and wood. we arrived at the spot around 11:30 am.
After that students started cleaning the spot little bit just to get a clean spot. Actually we have spend 2 days in cleaning that spot, because previously it was like a bush. There were lot of thorn, small grass and small plants on the spot So, we have cleaned it. I appreciate the students for their hard work and dedication.
Then 4 students went to get some water form the nearest village and by the time some students collected dry woods and some started preparing the Cucumber, Tomato and Bean Chatpati Chat for the breakfast. After sometime students brought 2 bottle of drinking water i appreciate their hard work then we started the lightning the nature made stove with wood and kerosene and enjoyed our Chatpati Chat so yummy.
First item we cooked is a very new and yummy dish named Cabbage Roll. We first boiled the cabbage leaves and prepared the Masala for the roll with chopped potato and bean with capsicums and tomato. The Cabbage Roll is the main attraction cheap and best. by the time we have started cooking the rice , dalma and kheer. It took almost 2 hr 30 minutes to cook all the dish. All the water bottle finished So, two students again went to the nearest village to bring one more bottle of water.
By the time my mother fried some Papad at home came to the spot and i went to pick her up. While going to bring my mother i met my new friend Banchanidhi who is like my grand father is is around 80 years old. He is the chief guest of the picnic. I used to meet him in this area very often in the evening while taking the pictures of peacock and we became friend.
Then we started eating the Cabbage Roll which was so yummy and tasty. By the time numbers of crows stated to come to our spot and i offered them the chopped potato and bean and they enjoyed it. Then two more peacock friends joined our picnic party for our village named Manoj and Summant . I used to met them every evening since last two weeks while taking picture of peacock. They help me to find out the peacock.
After all the guests arrived at the spot we started eating our delicious and divine Food by remembering our supreme father GOD Shiva around 3:30 pm. Few students helped to serve the food to my mother. It was some wonderful to have such a beautiful, simple, and yummy food. We all are happy and enjoyed the picnic.
Around 4:15 pm we all started playing cricket and badminton after having such a wonderful meal just near by the picnic spot at a empty rice field. It is so interesting and mind blowing experience to paly the games with all the students. I bowled 1 over to each students which was very funny and superb. Then we all started playing badminton until 5 pm.
After we all went to the sumita Ghai a small pond near by the hill to clean the dishes and we have taken lots of pictures there. Around 5:45 pm we started our return journey to home. Its already little dark in the evening at that time because of the early sunset as its month of October and winter is about to come in few weeks.
The return journey was some awesome because its already dark we need to turn on our mobile light. We walked up to the main road together. by the time some the parents of the students called to check the status of the picnic because its getting late. I told them we are returning now and will arrive home very soon. Its took 20-30 minutes to reach at home. We all arrive at home around 6:15 pm safely . Thank you all DITIANs for the wonderful PICNIC.
